Plage de Bois Jolan

This beach is another favorite beach in St. Anne. Its further up from St.Anne beach but not so far. If you coming from pointe-a-pitre, you will see plage de caravelle first, st anne beach and after that Plage de Bois Jolan.

There are 3 different parking area, one near to hotel, second in the middle and 3rd one further up the road. I suggest you take the 3rd one since the view is nicer at that area. We parked our car near to hotel and had to walk quite a bit along the beach.

The beach in Bois Jolan is small but plenty of tree to take covered. When we get there theres a lot of dried algae on the beach but non in the water. Its so pleasant to swim and not many people around too. Water is calm and perfect for family with kids or people who love to swim like us. 

St. Anne Beach

Its raining season at the moment in Guadeloupe but we are lucky enough that our first Saturday here were sunny. So, where we spend our weekend, the beach of course. 

We spend 3 hours at carrefour this morning to get our insurance, local phone number and some grocery shopping. So relief when everything done and we finally can start our weekend. It was around 40 min drive from Carrefour here in Baie-Mahault to St. Anne. 

There's a lot of traffic on saturday since everybody heading out to Carrefour for their weekly shopping. Waze took us into a small road and since its the first time we heading there, we just followed.

When we first arrived, we not really sure if we are at the right beach. And then we saw the amazing view and the water, i told Nico i don't care if we are at the wrong beach but we have to check it out. 

St. Anne beach was amazing, the water is calm, crystal clear and turquoise color. Which is perfect for a swim on a sunny afternoon. There's a tree along the beach to take up cover from the heat and its a perfect place for a picnic. Its one of the best beach in Guadeloupe .

After beach, we came back to Lamentin to try some creole food. It took us an hour before we could eat this, they took a long time to prepare. We are so hungry and we finished everything under 10 mins. My prawn soup a little bit salty but we liking Creole food so far. Got to try another this weekend.
