Its the 59th Independent Day today in Malaysia (Happy Merdeka day peeps) and we are 12 hours behind everybody back home. Its also the last day for us after 3 months (more or less) holiday before Nico start working tomorrow and me back to normal routine as a full time housewife.
This morning we went to Carrefour, did a bit of shopping for our picnic plan this afternoon and shopping for beach gear (most of our stuff still in the storage and only will be here after 6 months). Its been ages since we went for picnic, so we decided to go to Plage de la Perle in Sainte-Rose which is around 25mins from Lamentin.
The drive was smooth, no traffic to delayed our journey and we could see a lot of signage for a beach along the road. We decided to come here after Nico check tripadvisor and Plage de la Perle came as top 10 things to do in Guadeloupe. Im not usually trust tourist opinion but its at least a good start for us who came to Guadeloupe without any plan (not on which beach to go at least hehehhe).
So, its rained heavily when we almost reached the beach and i was upset that our plan is ruined. But when we parked our car, the rain stopped. So, we jumped out, grab everything and setup our picnic basket.
Well, the beach was nice, clear water, nice view and not many people. There's few restaurant around and the waves can be rough. I lost my Dior sunglasses while swimming because of more than 2m waves. There's a rock also at some area which we need to be aware off and not so many tree to take cover. I think this beach is perfect for paddle-boarding and experienced swimmer. Honestly, i prefer St.Anne beach more than Plage de la Perle.
